In short: this website is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics and has no forms. The only personal data we hold about you is what you choose to send us by email.

Who we are

Kesterly Ltd (“we”, “us”) is the data controller responsible for personal data processed through this website. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 17359915, with a registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.

This policy covers kesterly.com only. Our products have their own privacy policies, which apply to the data those products process. For TellDone, see telldone.app.

What personal data we collect

Personal data is any information that identifies a living person.

Through this website we collect:

  • Correspondence. If you email one of the addresses published here, we receive your email address, your name if you give it, and whatever you write to us.
  • Technical data in server logs. Our hosting provider records the IP address, browser type and requested page for each visit, for a short period, in order to keep the site available and protect it from abuse. We do not use this data to identify or profile visitors.

We do not collect payment details on this website, we do not run a newsletter, and we do not knowingly collect data about children or any special category data.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To reply to you. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us, or taking steps at your request before entering into a contract.
  • To keep the website working and secure. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a reliable and secure website.
  • To meet our legal obligations as a UK company, including record-keeping under the Companies Act 2006. Legal basis: compliance with a legal obligation.

We do not use your personal data for marketing, and we do not make automated decisions about you.

Who we share it with

We share personal data only where it is necessary to run the company:

  • Our email and hosting providers, who process data on our instructions and under a written contract.
  • Our professional advisers, and legal or regulatory bodies where the law requires it.

We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

International transfers

We do not transfer personal data outside the United Kingdom, except where a service provider we use processes data in a country covered by UK adequacy regulations or under an International Data Transfer Agreement. Where that applies, we satisfy ourselves that appropriate safeguards are in place.

How long we keep it

We keep correspondence for as long as needed to deal with the matter it concerns, and then for up to six years where it relates to a contract, a payment or a legal obligation. Server logs are kept for a short period and then deleted or anonymised.

Security

We take the security of personal data seriously and have measures in place to protect it. Access is limited to people who need it in order to do their work, and they are bound by confidentiality obligations.

This website links to sites we do not control, including telldone.app and Companies House. We are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices, and we encourage you to read their policies.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to:

  • be given a copy of the personal data we hold about you;
  • have inaccurate personal data corrected;
  • have your personal data erased, in certain circumstances;
  • restrict how we process your personal data, in certain circumstances;
  • receive your personal data in a portable format, or have it transferred to someone else, in certain circumstances;
  • object to processing that we carry out on the basis of a legitimate interest;
  • withdraw consent, where consent is the basis we rely on.

To exercise any of these rights, email legal at kesterly.com. There is no fee. We may ask for information to confirm your identity. We will normally respond within one month, and will tell you if a complex request will take longer.

Complaints

If something has gone wrong, we would like the chance to put it right — please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at any time, at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.

We review this policy periodically. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last changed.
